Life Moves Fast
Life moves fast when you're not paying attention. This last month has been full of commissions, house projects, and a few personal paintings, as well as some teaching opportunities and forward momentum on my post-birth fall plans.
I am always accepting commissions, you can order customized flowers or pet portraits here. My baby is due on May 23rd, which may slow down my ability to accept commissions or complete paintings on a tight deadline, so consider ordering custom pieces early if you have a special date in mind.
I'll also be stopping teaching yoga for the foreseeable future after April. My last scheduled classes are for Sunday April 25th with a Flow class at 8:15am and a Beginners class at 11:15am. If you've been interested in taking a class with me or just want to see my baby belly in motion, you can register for those here.
I've been painting a lot more on canvas lately; I just got my woodcutting station set up at my new house.
This painting is for sale in my Etsy shop. This acrylic painting on canvas is of a conch shell I found walking on the beach in Gulf Port, MS after getting my first covid vaccine dose. I titled it "New Hope" because getting vaccinated has reinvigorated me and allowed me to release some of the anxiety I had been holding onto this past year. While there are still concerns and precautions to take, being vaccinated brings me renewed hope in this year.
I hope the beauty of the conch shell, a natural example of the "golden ratio" or "Fibonacci sequence," can remind you to stay focused and to continue growing in this year.
Below are some completed pet and flower commissions for Joan Burmaster I completed this month:
